Certification is a considered process.
Certification is not automatic.
It is not a training course with a certificate at the end.
It is an assessment of whether a practice can deliver work to the Ivory standard.
The pathway
Four steps protect the standard.
Assessment.
Your practice is reviewed against the Ivory Standard, including how you think, deliver, communicate and protect quality.
Award.
Certification is awarded only when the practice has genuinely met the standard and understands the obligations attached to it.
Annual renewal.
The standard is reviewed each year so certification stays current, deliberate and credible.
After certification
The relationship continues.
Certified partners are trusted to deliver work under the Ivory standard, but the standard does not become passive once certification is awarded.
The work still needs to be recognisable. The client experience still needs to hold. The partner relationship still needs to protect the discipline.
The terms set out what certification allows, what it does not allow and what happens if the standard is not maintained.
The first step is not paperwork. It is qualification.
